Target Market:
The market volume of DVD software is increasing annually. Personal computers equipped with a DVD rive are on the rise and sale of DVD recorders is also starting to show activity. The production volume of DVD discs is increasing every year, with its market volume expected to grow five-fold in 2005.

At the disc production site, disc testers are required to offer higher speed to cut down on the time and costs for quality inspection as the production volume of discs grows. The tester’s performance including the inspection speed depends greatly on the performance of the disc tester’s drive. To respond to such demand, we release the DQ-400D DVD high-accuracy quadruple-speed tester drive.

The DQ-400D is a drive unit for DVD inspection and can be connected to a DVD inspection device or a personal computer through serial communication. The DQ-400D can be used for disc inspection on the production site but may be incorporated into the disc inspection device, for which application the DQ-400D will also be sold to manufacturers of DVD inspection devices.
